Margaret Eleanor Whitfield
Margaret Eleanor Whitfield, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on March 12, 1948, in Portland, Oregon, Margaret lived a life full of grace, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She spent 32 years as an elementary school teacher, touching the lives of countless students with her patience and warmth. Margaret is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert; her children, Sarah (Michael) and David (Lisa); her five grandchildren; and her sister, Joan. A celebration of life will be held at St. Andrew's Church on September 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Oregon Literacy Foundation.
